Member Standards

No attorney organization turns away prospective members as readily as the Injury Board. Qualifying invitees are a rare breed, not only meeting the objective membership requirements below, but also sharing a perspective – a passion for the courtroom – that harkens back to the days of Harry Philo, Melvin Belli, and Clarence Darrow.

To be considered for membership, at least one prospective firm attorney must satisfy at least one of the following requirements (preferably both):

Leadership: Holds/has held an elected position with a recognized trial lawyer or bar association. Examples include, but are not limited to, local, state, regional or national bars (voluntary or otherwise), AAJ, ABA, and ABOTA. Others considered at the discretion of the founding members.

Board Certification: Is board-certified in the area of civil trial law or personal injury law.

In addition to meeting the above criteria, prospective members should also believe in the idea of giving back. Community service is paramount to our ideals and an important piece of the Injury Board’s DNA.

Finally, member applications are presented to, and vetted for approval or denial by, the membership at large, with override authority solely at the discretion of the founding members.
