Peter (Pete) S. Mackey, Esq. has thirty years of civil trial litigation experience. He has been very successful in his representation of clients in business and consumer tort matters, contracts and construction cases, employment disputes and insurance matters.
Mr. Mackey is an “AV” rated lawyer according to Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating a lawyer can receive, as adjudged by his peers in the legal profession. He is board certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is also certified as an Alabama Mediator.
Mr. Mackey is a member of the American and Alabama Associations for Justice, the South Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, the Alabama Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Alabama Bar Association and the Mobile Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice in Alabama and in the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.
Mr. Mackey graduated from the University of Alabama in 1978 and Cumberland School of Law, cum laude, in 1983. While at Cumberland, he was an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was a member of Curia Honoris. After graduating, he clerked for the Honorable Emmett R. Cox, then a United States District Court Judge (now with Senior Status on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals).
Mr. Mackey and his family attend All Saints Episcopal Church.
