Meet Laurie Goodman

Laurie Goodman brings over 14 years of experience as the Executive Director of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College (TLC) to her role as Program Director at The Bard Room. During her tenure at TLC, she was deeply immersed in the world of storytelling—its magic, its structure, and its power. Now, she is excited to expand her reach, sharing her expertise with a broader audience beyond the legal field, including professionals in leadership, education, and advocacy.

Laurie remains closely connected to the TLC community and its thousands of graduates, while also welcoming new professionals eager to master the art of storytelling. She believes that effective storytelling is essential for executive directors, corporate leaders, legislators, elected officials, teachers, and lawyers—anyone who advocates for a cause must be able to tell their story well. Through her work at The Bard Room, she is committed to helping professionals refine their ability to communicate with clarity, brevity, and authenticity. Alongside Jeff Roberts and Max T. Barnes, Laurie embraces the importance of play and creativity in both professional and personal growth, infusing that spirit into the work being done at The Bard Room.
