Meet Jay Urban

Jay Urban, co-founder of Urban & Taylor, S.C. in 1999, operates a plaintiff personal injury law firm with offices in Milwaukee and Tomah, Wisconsin. Notably, Jay achieved one of the largest non-punitive, non-economic jury awards in Wisconsin history with a $13.3M verdict in 2014 and a $10.2M verdict in 2011. He is the only lawyer in Wisconsin under 50 with two single-event trial awards exceeding $10M.

Jay’s accomplishments include serving as co-lead counsel on the Plaintiff Steering Committee for the national Du Pont Imprelis® MDL, representing the most plaintiffs in the litigation. He also participated in the Plaintiff Steering Committee for Just For Men® litigation and reaffirmed Wisconsin’s “made whole” subrogation law in 2015. Jay is Board Certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 2008, named a Wisconsin Super Lawyer annually since inception, and recognized as a Best Lawyer in America for a decade. He attended Marquette University Law School (J.D. 1992) and the University of Wisconsin–Madison (B.A. 1989).
