Benjamin Folkman, certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Civil Pretrial Practice Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, is the Managing Partner of Folkman Law Offices, P.C. in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He concentrates his practice in business and commercial matters, personal injury, medical and legal malpractice, employment law, and civil rights. Mr. Folkman is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His firm is a member of the Injury Board. He has been a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice Board of Governors from 2015 through June 2023, where he served as the Co-Chair of the Employment Section and the Tort Section. He is a former Chairperson of the Self Insured & Risk Manager Committee of the Torts and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Folkman served for three years as an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Southern New Jersey and used that position to fight religious intolerance in America.
Mr. Folkman is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, New York, Vermont, Arizona, Missouri, and Colorado, and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of Colorado, the District of Vermont, the District of Arizona, the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, and the Southern District of New York, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Federal, and District of Columbia Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court. He has lectured and authored articles for the American and New Jersey State Bar Associations, the New Jersey Association for Justice, the National Business Institute, and Lawline.
Additionally, Mr. Folkman has been selected as a New Jersey Super Lawyer every year since 2007 and was selected as one of the top one-hundred Super Lawyers in New Jersey in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Mr. Folkman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he attended George Washington High School. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Dickinson College and his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University. Mr. Folkman resided in New Jersey for 27 years until his recent move into Center City, Philadelphia. He has been married to his wife, Beth, for 31 years and has two adult children, Daniel and Samantha.
